 In the new Millennium, increasing attention is being given to acknowledging and recording the individual lives, experiences and contributions of our citizens - represented strongly by our migrants who have come to Western Australia from over 200 different nations.
An intrinsic part of our citizenship involves the need to foster pride in the rich cultural heritage and diversity, which exists in Western Australia. 'Our Stories' is a unique initiative that will enable Western Australians to share and record their migration, settlement, work and family experiences and be part of a world first project that will provide both a valuable social history and remarkable insight into the lives and aspirations of our citizens.
